Day 235

Thoughts: If we could see the body through the eyes of a physicist, as it really is, we'd see a huge empty void with a few scattered dots and some random electrical discharges. The body is made up of atoms, which in turn are made up of particles that whirl at dizzying speeds around huge empty spaces. Physicists have fancy names for these particles, such as leptons, quarks, mesons and so on. These particles give us the experience of matter through our senses, but they are definitely not material entities. These particles are fluctuations of information and energy existing in a huge void.

The human body itself is mostly empty space, but that empty space is not an emptiness made up of nothing; it is a fullness of non-material intelligence. It is pure consciousness. The superstition of materialism sees the human body as a frozen sculpture fixed in space and time, but the body-mind is actually changing, pulsating pattern of intelligence. It is a river of energy and information - fluid, dynamic and ceaselessly changing pattern of energy that constantly re-creates itself. The Greek philosopher Heraclitus said "You can not step into the same river twice because new water is flowing in".

Likewise, we cannot step into the same body twice because in every second of our existence our personal body is exchanging energy and information with our extended body, the universe. If we take any process - such as breathing, eating, digestion, metabolism, even thought, which is fundamentally a fluctuation of energy and information in the body - we see how dramatically, how rapidly, and how effortlessly we renew our body in every second of existence.

With each breath we inhale billions of atoms that ultimately end up as heart cells, kidney cells, brain cells and so on. With each breath we exhale bits and pieces of our tissues and organs and exchange them with the atmosphere of this planet.

Radioactive isotope studies show that the body replaces 98 percent of all its atoms in less than one year. The body makes a new stomach lining every 5 days, a new skin once a month, a new liver every 6 weeks, and a new skeleton every 3 months. Even our DNA, the genetic material that holds memories of billions of years of evolution, wasn't the same six weeks ago.

So if you think you are your physical body, which body are you talking about? The body you had today is not the same body you had 3 months ago.

The superstition of materialism sees the body as a physical machine that has somehow learned to think, but in fact infinite consciousness somehow creates the mind and then expresses itself as the body.

This morning I opened the book called 'Power Freedom and Grace' created by Deepak Chopra, and the words above are exactly the page I opened to. I felt compelled to share it with you all. Thank you for the opportunity to be soaked in such words this morning. Deepak Chopra is an American physician born in India. www.chopra.com

Challenges: Being immersed in the material illusion that my body is a solid lump, impossible to change, heal, grow, recover, glow, shine, radiate health. Such suppressing behaviour I have inflicted upon my self.

Triumphs: Knowing all that, with each breath in is a new body and each breath out is dying to the old body. From moment to moment my body is renewed. A chance of re-creation - only when I am not immersed in the material illusion and superstition.

Day 234

Thoughts: How to grow your own avocado tree!

Don't throw out that seed! You can grow a beautiful houseplant or even your own tree following these simple steps.

1. Wash the seed. Using three toothpick, suspend it broad end down over a water-filled glass to cover about an inch of the seed.
2. Put it in a warm place out of direct sunlight and replenish water as needed. You should see roots and stem sprout in about two to six weeks.
3. When the stem is six to seven inches long, cut it back to about three inches.
4. When the roots are thick and the stem has leafed out again, plant it in a rich humus soil in a 10-1/2" diameter pot, leaving the seed half exposed.
5. Give it frequent, light waterings with an occasional deep soak. Generally, the soil should be moist but not saturated. Yellowing leaves are a sign of over-watering; let the plant dry out for a few days.
6. The more sunlight, the better.
7. If leaves turn brown and fry at the tips, too much salt has accumulated in the soil. Let water run freely into the pot and drain for several minutes.
8. When the stem is 12 inches high, cut it back to 6 inches to encourage the growth of new shoots.
9. While it is true that you can grow a tree from an avocado seed, keep in mind that a tree grown from seed will be very different from its parent variety and may take 7-15 years to begin producing fruit. Fruit from a tree grown from seed tends to have different flavor characteristics than their parent variety. Known varieties such as Hass avocados are grafted to preserve their varietal characteristics rather than grown from a seed.

Avocados in the Home Garden

Avocado trees are a popular for landscaping. They like soil ph of 6 to 6.5. It is a shallow rooted tree that needs good aeration and does best when mulched with coarse material such as redwood bark or other woody mulch about 2" in diameter. Use about 1/3 cubic yard per tree, but keep it about 6 to 8 inches away from the trunk. Plant in a non-lawn area with full sun, protected from wind and frost. The ideal time to plant is March through June. During summer there is risk of sun damage since young trees can't take up water very well.

The hole should be as deep as the root ball and just a bit wider. Gently place the root ball in the hole taking care not to disturb the delicate root system. If the ball is root-bound, carefully loosen up the soil around the edge and clip away any roots that are going in circles. Back fill the hole with soil. Do not use gravel or potting mix.

The major nutrients needed by avocado trees are nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium (NPK) in a balanced fertilizer with zinc. Feed young trees sparingly (1 to 2 teaspoons per tree, per year) of balanced fertilizer. Spread out over several applications if you like.

When watering, it is best to soak the root system well, and then allow the surface to dry out somewhat before watering again. Depending on the weather, this may mean watering once a day or once every two weeks.

Will my avocado tree produce avocados?

“Ungrafted” trees (like those grown inside from seeds) rarely produce fruit. In order to have an avocado tree that produces fruit, one must graft the seedling. Since the process of grafting involves mixing the tissues of the seedling with those of a producing tree, it is often just easier to simply buy a grafted tree from a reputable nursery. Once grafted a plant grown from seed can take anywhere from five to 13 years to flower and bear fruit.

Can I graft my own tree?

Avocado grafting requires precise weather conditions and therefore a successful graft yield is often low - even for professionals.

Why should I plant a non-producing avocado tree?

Avocado trees provide a spacious and uncluttered canopy within the foliage. Also, avocado branch growth patterns lend very well to tree climbing. For these reasons alone, a non-producing avocado tree is no waste.

Did you know?

1. Avocados are a fruit, not a vegetable, belonging to the genus Persea in the Lauraceae family
2. Avocados are sodium and cholesterol-free and have only five grams of fat per serving, most of it the monounsaturated kind
3. I enjoy eating one to 4 avocados daily!!!
4. Avocados were once a luxury food reserved for the tables of royalty, but now Avocados are enjoyed around the world by people from all walks of life
5. Brazilians add avocados to ice cream
6. Filipinos puree avocados with sugar and milk for a dessert drink
7. The avocado is also called an Alligator Pear because of its pear-like shape and green skin
8. Avocado is a corruption of the Spanish word aguacate, which is in turn a corruption of the Aztec word ahuacatl
9. California produces about 90 percent of the US nation's avocado crop
10. San Diego County is the Avocado Capital of the U.S., producing 60 percent of all the avocados grown in California
11. There are about 6,000 avocado growers in California; the average grove size is around 10 acres
12. A single California Avocado tree can produce about 500 avocados (or 200 pounds of fruit) a year although usually average about 60 pounds from 150 fruit. There must be ALOT of avocado trees in the world!
13. There are seven varieties of avocados grown commercially in California, but the Hass is the most popular, accounting for approximately 95 percent of the total crop volume
14. About 43 percent of all U.S. households buy avocados
15. Avocados provide nearly 20 essential nutrients, including fiber, potassium, Vitamin E, B-vitamins and folic acid. They also act as a "nutrient booster" by enabling the body to absorb more fat-soluble nutrients, such as alpha and beta-carotene and lutein, in foods that are eaten with the fruit.

Do avocados offer nutrients beneficial to babies?
Avocados can be an important part of your baby's growth and development. Fresh avocados are sodium and cholesterol-free. They contribute valuable nutrients including 8% of the recommended Daily Value (DV) for folate; 4% DV for fiber and potassium, 4% DV for vitamin E; and 2% DV for iron. A serving of avocado also contains 81 micrograms of the carotenoid lutein and 19 micrograms of beta-carotene. One serving also contains 3.5 grams of unsaturated fats, which are known to be important for normal growth and development of the central nervous system and brain.

Avocados and the Environment

1. California Avocado farmers rely on Integrated Pest Management (IPM) to combat pests and diseases. As a result, California Avocados rank among the lowest of all fruits and vegetables for pesticide use
2. If treatment for pests is necessary, the softest chemicals are selected to have the least impact on the environment and on beneficial organisms in the orchard
3. With the number of California Avocado groves becoming Certified Organic the trend toward organic production is on the rise. New Certified Organic avocado acreage is coming into production in California each year to meet the ever-increasing demand for organically grown fruit
4. Avocado orchards help renew our air supply and keep it fresh by absorbing carbon dioxide and producing oxygen
5. Southern California Avocado orchards remove 25 - 88 lbs of (dry nitrogenous) pollutants per acre from the environment. (Based on University of California deposition data)
6. Orchard trees lower air temperature by evaporating water in their leaves
7. Avocado tree roots stabilize the soil and prevent erosion
8. Avocado orchards can reduce storm run-off and the possibility of flooding. By slowing runoff and filtering rain water, orchards can improve water quality
9. Avocado orchards provide shelter for wildlife

Avocado History

The avocado (Persea americana) originated in south-central Mexico, sometime between 7,000 and 5,000 B.C. But it was several millennia before this wild variety was cultivated. Archaeologists in Peru have found domesticated avocado seeds buried with Incan mummies dating back to 750 B.C. and there is evidence that avocados were cultivated in Mexico as early as 500 B.C.
From Aguacate to Avocado

Spanish conquistadores loved the fruit but couldn't pronounce it and changed the Aztec word to a more manageable aguacate, which eventually became avocado in English. The first English-language mention of avocado was by Sir Henry Sloane in 1696.

Ripening

The best way to tell if a Avocado is ready for immediate use is to gently squeeze the fruit in the palm of your hand. Ripe, ready-to-eat fruit will be firm yet will yield to gentle pressure. If you plan to serve the fruit in a few days, stock up on hard, unripened fruit.

Ripening a Avocado

* To ripen a Avocado, place the fruit in a plain brown paper bag and store at room temperature 65-75° until ready to eat (usually two to five days).
* Including an apple or banana in the bag accelerates the process because these fruits give off ethylene gas, a ripening reagent.
* Soft ripe fruit can be refrigerated until it is eaten, but not for more than two or three days.

Picking, Packing and Shipping

Avocados are harvested by hand with the help of special shears called clippers. Using ladders up to 30 feet high and poles up to 14 feet long to reach the fruit in tall trees, pickers place the harvested fruit in large nylon bags fastened around their shoulders. Each bag holds 30-50 pounds of fruit.

The harvested avocados are carefully placed in large picking bins that can each hold between 600 and 800 pounds of fruit.

The picking bins are transferred by forklift, tractor or trailer from the grove to a large truck which picks up the fruit, hauling it several bins at a time to the packing house.

At the packing house, avocados are immediately put into cold storage for about 24 hours to remove the field heat and to preserve their quality. Then the pre-cooled fruit is ready for packing.

Each bin of avocados is carefully placed on a conveyor belt, which gently tips over the bin, allowing the fruit to roll onto a grading belt, where graders hand check and sort the avocados by size.

Avocados are shipped from the packing house in refrigerated trucks. If they are being shipped internationally, they are placed in special atmosphere-controlled containers and sent by air freight or cargo ship.

Once these strict quality and freshness procedures are complete, the avocados reach grocers around the country and are ready for purchase.

Day 232

Thoughts: Chaos and more chaos?

We were given the use of frequency to diagnose and heal disease by Raymond Royal Rife. Again the technology was rejected, and frequency technologies were used for harm instead. Many others came with great technology, which was not allowed to be developed, or used instead to create problems, often in the name of greed.

The "Hidden Hand" and its minions that have run this world will see the results of its actions. There is always cause and effect. In fact, many of the Hidden Hand" have been removed and before us in every country, stand their puppets, who are not particularly efficient and organized, and are falling into greater disorganization before our very eyes.

The chaos will in all likelihood produce disease. The dark have laid plans for some time now for the reduction of population and these are fully in place. This is not the work of "God." Poor health will increase dramatically from the polluted, artificial food consumption. Many organisms have been introduced into water supplies. Food has been genetically altered to produce ill health, and also to cause food supplies to dwindle.

Author of AbundantHope.net, "This summer I planted 3 tomato plants, enough to provide tomatoes for my personal needs for an entire year, if I canned and froze the excess. They are genetically damaged, producing tomatoes small and with ugly brown spots on them. The plants are not healthy. I will not eat these tomatoes, the few of them that there are, because I don't know how they have been genetically contaminated. This is the second batch of tomato plants I have tried to grow in the last three years. I bought these, rather than starting them from seed.

I have had genetic problems with the new corn too, and with squashes. Last year the squashes I love so much that I purchase in the grocery store had a bad taste, almost every single on, from either genetic manipulation or poor growing conditions. Many of you know that terminator genes have been introduced into plants that prevent the farmer from gathering his own seed and replanting with it. These genes are spreading to other plants by normal pollination procedures in nature. Nothing is safe anymore. Human genes have been introduced into plants, and I doubt that this is a healthy thing to do. Weather changes are affecting food production also."

Obviously chaotic events like massive earthquakes with resultant tsunamis leave survivors that pass this plane from lack of food, illness, depression, fear, lack of protective housing and related survival problems. The past two years has seen a small decimation of population from earthquakes and weather problems of well over 1 million people. And to war, not only in Iraq and Afghanistan, but Africa also, maybe another couple million have left this plane.

Add to this list the growing number of deaths from AIDS, a created disease given through small pox and hepatitis vaccines. Many are dying now, from the bad food and medicines that kill. Diabetes is wide spread in the USA, and also heart disease and cancers. We are in a depopulation mode already.

Chaos is not a bad thing; it only seems so. Life is chaos. Planets constantly change as they form, and then become balanced so that life may be implanted. Life survives, by surviving the continuing and never ending chaos, always solving the problems in front of it.

Our modern world lacks redundancy.

In the quest for complexity, specialization and profit, our modern civilization has completely forgotten about redundancy. There is almost no slack in the systems that deliver your food, fuel, electricity, water or consumer products. That means if something goes wrong, even for a little while, you'll need to depend on yourself to provide these things. Yet how many people have the ability to provide all these essentials for themselves -- disconnected from the grid -- for even as little as one weekend?

Very few, it turns out. And that leads to one giant, disturbing realization: When the next great disruption occurs, the vast majority of the population will panic. That's because they're unprepared. They have unknowingly bet their lives on the reliability of just-in-time delivery systems and complex infrastructure interdependencies. When the water stops flowing, or the electricity goes off, or the gasoline runs out, they literally will have no idea what to do.

The very idea that such a thing could happen will be entirely foreign to them. It's as if they've all been living in The Truman Show (a Jim Carey film, one of my favorites) then suddenly the veil is lifted and they're shown the real world. In the real world, water doesn't just automatically flow through your pipes. Fuel doesn't materialize into existence out of nowhere. Food isn't mysteriously teleported to your local store each night while you sleep. In the real world, food, fuel, energy and water all depend on a long, intricate web of interdependent processes, and there isn't a person living today who truly understands the complexity of those dependencies.

In essence, we are all living a civilization experiment. It's an experiment that asks the question, "What happens if we all become specialists and give up our redundancies in the pursuit of higher specialized production?"

Day 231

Thoughts: Be Who You Are

I love an environment where the space is about not taking one's self too seriously! There aren't a lot amount of places that I have discovered that have created this kind of freedom specifically. I experience that at Byron Bay (Australia), Theaters, the ocean, Art galleries, my garden, yoga retreats and classes, New York, some Acting classes, and now Big Al's Family Fitness!

I am now a member of Big Al's Family Fitness Gym!!! It is absolutely the most authentic, dynamic and lively fitness center I have been to! They have everything - from yoga to dance, weights and personal trainers, indoor basketballs courts and track, boxing! Usually I am going one place for yoga, another for dance, and then a gym for cardio weights, but Big Al's has it all in once space!

The Earth Diet along with regular exercise is living an abundant lively lifestyle. You can have it all!

Health is the greatest gift, contentment the greatest wealth, faithfulness the best relationship. Buddha

Big Al's believes in family. A family made up of friendly staff and loyal members - all with a similar goal in mind - health and fitness! At Big Al's they believe that everyone should be treated with courtesy and respect, that integrity and honesty are more important than a profit and loss statement, and that no one should take themselves too seriously! They have absolutely created a safe, clean and friendly place to exercise that is welcoming and fun for people of all ages. Founded on love, loyalty and commitment, Big Al's is a place where you can be who you are.

Plus they have a children's center, so whenever you want to work out you can bring your kids for a play too! And it's extraordinary (I have never seen one like it in a gym before) as the kids get this huge jungle gym playground - with balls pits and tubes and tunnels, all my favourites when I was a kid!!!

1 in 6 kids suffer from childhood obesity, and I say suffer as I am not sure how else an obese person would live, and almost 1 in 4 are considered overweight according to the Department of Health. I absolutely have compassion for overweight and obese children as I was a slim and active child, always playing outside and exploring through the hills that lived behind us. I had no interest in video games, and watching the TV for longer than a couple of hours, and it was because how my Mum brought us up. I am extremely grateful that she had created such a healthy active life for us in Australia. That's why I love what Big Al's has to offer for the children. It is our responsibility if a child is overweight or obese, there is no reason for them to be, and it seems a unfair way to start a life full of health problems and restrictions. Babies and children don't know the difference, they would have no clue if you started feeding them apples as 'treats'.

Can you imagine your child asking for an apple instead of Mc Donalds?! You could even raise your child on raw live foods and they would not know the difference, unless you allowed them to eat other foods. Through our example, children can learn the benefits of healthy eating. It's 'grown-ups' like us reinforcing positive habits, who help children understand the importance of healthy living. With Big Al's schedule you can be sure that your little one will not only get proper exercise, but will also understand how exercise is benefiting their development. I started really learning this when I was 16, imagine if a child learned this at 6! Through caring instructors and productive activities, your child will be more aware of their personal development than you ever dreamed possible!

Big Al's have all sorts of activities for children aged from 2 to 15 inlcuding Lil' Explorers & Moon Bouncers (Sounds like so much fun! Is there an adult one of these?!), Lil' Al's Land for Tots, Lil Al's Dancers, Lil Al's Sports and basketball, Lil' Olympics (I remember doing lil Olympics as a kid! So much fun! It encourages children that yes they can do it, and give them a taste of Olympics!), Muscle Builders, Warriors: Combat MMA & Jui Jitsu and boxing. I doubt your child would prefer to play the x-box with all those options!

Every human being is the author of his own health or disease. -Buddha

Other amenities they have which I am yet to play with are:

-Turf Field
-Huge cardio equipment selection
-Large free weight floor
-Cardio theatre entertainment (Yes you can watch a movie and forget that you are exercising!)
-Boxing Club
-Lil Al's Fitness academy and nursery (for the kiddies!)
-TRX suspension training studio
-Indoor track
-Juice bar (sweeeeet!)
-Full karate dojo
-Bronze tanning salon
-More than 30 group fitness classes including yoga and pilates
-In house chiropractic and sports medicine services
-Sauna (my favourite!)

So there you have it! I have found a new friend that I will be spending at least 4 days a week with ;) Hehe!

If you live in New York then come down to Big Al's to try out a free week pass - there is one in Amityville and Westbury - if you live elsewhere then find a center like this that genuinely cares more about your health then making money to join! In my experience it is so amazing how a group of people working together to get people healthy and strong which can completely alter our state of being. When I walk into Big Al's I automatically enter into a active nurturing, loving and energetic place! I also find that this kind of atmosphere is encouraging and motivating - so sometimes when we slack off, we can go to the gym and be motivated by being surrounded by health and helps us commit to a regular program.

Earth Diet health and exercise tips:

-Ginger may reduce the pain associated with muscle injury after exercising. Eat a small chunk raw (It may burn - that burn is the dying bacteria) or boil some water and add some chunks of ginger to make a tea!

-Cancer patients should not avoid exercise; they can and should find ways to be physically active both during and after treatment.

-Exercise keeps your mind clean, pure and sharp. We inhale, consume, eat so many chemicals each day, if we are not sweating, excreting, ridding them out of our body they become stagnant, and we become a walking talking thinking chemical machine.

Challenges: No one saves us but ourselves. No one can and no one may. We ourselves must walk the path. Buddha

Triumphs: Day 6 out of 7 on the master cleanse and this morning I woke up at 6am throwing up bile - which continued until 10am. Pain, misery and suffering for 4 hours. I was no where else other than where I was and what I was experiencing. I could not focus or think about anything or anyone else. My husband Andrew kept saying 'This is a good reference point for you for pain', hehe! And it was for sure. I have never been in so much pain for a long period of time, never broken a bone, I am so grateful for such a rosey and physically pain free life I have had. My next role in a film 'Long Weekend' requires me to experience physical pain and now I absolutely have a point of reference to base it from!

I believe my body was ridding something nasty. I had injections this year(Compulsory for me to stay in the USA), which were made up of 50% mercury (The stuff that causes autism see my blog www.theearthdiet.blogspot.com/2010/02/day-118.html), and I believe I was letting this go. Mercury settles in the softest tissue - first the brain and other organs. It is challenging to detox mercury out of your system as it takes deep organ cleansing. Throughout the week I was pooping darker and heavier than usual - the impacted waste on my bowel walls, my eyes were blood shot ridding toxins (they are now white! The beauty of a cleanse!), and my underarms and breath were smelly too. Once we clean our selves out we no longer smell - my friend JD who is 50 and eats only raw does not smell! His poos do not smell and he does not walk around with a hovering body odor!

After this I decided to start eating again, so I ate the foods my body was craving for healing - avocados, orange juice, strawberries, cherries and nectarines! I am grateful for this cleansing experience, and made it through 5 full days of only water with the juice of lemon, maple syrup and cayene pepper. I lost bloating in my stomach, feel lighter, clearer and cleaner physically and mentally!

Day 227

Thoughts: Water

Are you trying to lose weight? Eat less and drink more water.

You may actually be feeling thirsty instead of hungry, so try reaching for a glass of water or a cup of tea before you have a snack. Water can help fill you up and feel less hungry. Being properly hydrated means your body will work more efficiently, particularly metabolizing those fats.

There are many extraordinary things about water!:

* Since the earth is a closed system which recycles water, the same water has been present for thousands of years. You may be drinking or bathing in water used by Alexander the Great, or Jesus.

* A tree can process and evaporate about 70 gallons of water per day.

* The United States has 3,500,000 miles of rivers.

* The Nile River in Africa and the Amazon in South America are the longest rivers in the world, both over 4000 miles long.

* A chicken is 75% water.

* If all of the earth's water fit into a gallon jug, only about 1 tablespoon would be available as fresh drinking water.

* Freshwater animals are disappearing five times faster than land animals.

* The United States used about 410 billion gallons of water per day in 2005.

* Average water usage in gallons per person per day in Africa is 10 gallons, in North America the average is 95 gallons.

* A dripping faucet can waste as much as 75 gallons of water each day.

* Americans use five times more water than Europeans.

* A bath uses less water than even a short shower.

* About one in eight people on earth lack access to safe water supply.

* 3.5 million people die each year from water-related diseases, and about 80% of them are children.

* Many of the earth's people must walk at least 3 hours to procure water.

* Roughly 1.5 million tons of plastic are used each year by the bottled water industry.

* 1.5 million barrels of oil are required to make plastic bottles each year.

* It takes 7000 liters of water to refine one barrel of crude oil.

Third Planet Food says most adults lose about 6-7 cups of water in urine output each day, and another 4 cups or so through bowel movements, breathing and sweating. Thatis a good 10 cups that needs to be replaced. Many of the foods we eat contain water, and on top of this the recommendation is to drink at least eight 8 ounce glasses of water every day. Naturally if you run until you are dripping with sweat you will need more, and if you gorge on watermelon or soup one day you need drink less. You can monitor your water intake by keeping an eye on your urine output. It should be colorless or light yellow, not dark, and when you are hydrated properly you will find yourself peeing a lot, as it tends to go right through you.

While you are taking care to make sure that your own body is hydrated, be mindful about how you use your share of the earth's water. We all share it :)

Challenges: I have become ungrateful when I forget how fortunate I am to go to the tap, turn it on, and out comes water. Effortless, especially compared to many of the population who must walk 3 hours to procure water.

No one can see their reflection in running water. It is only in still water that we can see. -Taoist proverb

Triumphs: Water, thou hast no taste, no color, no odor; canst not be defined, art relished while ever mysterious. Not necessary to life, but rather life itself, thou fillest us with a gratification that exceeds the delight of the senses. Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, Wind, Sand, and Stars, 1939

Day 2 of this cleanse fast has been easier than I thought it would be. When I am not focused on food or surrounded by food advertisements, it really is not that hard, I don't even think about food often. Which made me see how many times I do eat for something to do rather than eating for nourishment. I imagine if I did have a TV and was watching ads about food, my body would recognize the sensations and then I would be challenged not to indulge!

What I Ate Today:

Food fest 1: Water with the juice of lemon, cayenne pepper and maple syrup. Day 2 of 7 for the Master Cleanse :)

Exercise: A dance in the morning to my favourite music Travis and a bike ride :) mmm mmm mmm loving this New York sun!

Day 228

Thoughts: Quantum physics is mind-bending, but it is also one of the most successful scientific theories ever put forward. Get to grips with a weird world with this beginners guide and learn how to make it work with your health!

In this computer artwork, the funnels represent several different universes being created at the same time. Each parallel universe may have different physical laws to our universe (central funnel), with differing levels of stability and expansion. Some universes may even be devoid of any matter (empty funnel, right) (Image: Mark Garlick / SPL)

Your thoughts, beliefs and emotions Shape Your World. Quantum Physics Once Understood And Properly Implemented Will Enable And Empower You To Experience Heaven On Earth.

What exactly is Quantum Physics? Quantum physics is simply a science that studies and explains how everything in our world comes into existence starting from the physical aspect of the events, conditions, and circumstances of everything in the Universe and breaking them down into their most basic form, attempting to discover the Source from where they are derived from.

Whether or not you may currently be aware, Quantum Physics, Spirituality, your thoughts, emotions, and success or lack of success in life are ALL closely intertwined or interconnected. In fact as modern day quantum physics has discovered, they're much more interconnected than you may realize.

Unless you have been exposed to physics at some point, just the mention of Quantum Physics may seem a bit overwhelming to many, but it's really not as intimidating or hard to understand as you may think. In fact, as you will soon discover it is your thoughts and beliefs concerning Quantum Physics that makes it easy or difficult to understand. If that statement seems a little puzzling at this point, rest assured, it won't be once you've finished reading this article and develop a deeper understanding of how it is that Quantum Physics more specifically Quantum Mechanics determines the outcomes in your life and the world around you.

As most everyone discovered in elementary school, everything that you can see in the physical world is made up of molecules.

Quantum Physics goes a few steps beyond molecules and has taken these tiny little wonders and broken them down even further and developed the ability to study the various things that make them up which are known as atoms which when broken down and analyzed further are made up of consist of various sub-atomic particles.

Here's a simple breakdown beginning with molecules....

The next step down from a molecule is an atom. The next step down from an atom are subatomic particles which consist of Photons, Leptons, Electrons, Neutrons, Quarks, etc.

A huge and amazing discovery which took place in 1925 and has become well known today as E=MC2 was discovered by a scientist named Albert Einstein. This new discovery would dramatically change the views of the scientific community and what was previously believed to be true in relation to what it is that makes up our world and to that point how mankind believed that all things came to be. This previous understanding was called Newtonian Physics. Based on Newtonian physics it was believed that all things just happened as a result of gravity.

What Einstein's world changing discover would prove was that these atoms, could be broken down and analyzed further and that the subatomic particles which collectively formed the atoms were pure energy. At that time Einstein believed that this energy he had discovered was in the form of particles, in other words they had an "appearance" of being solid. Although he was "partially" correct his theory differed from another noted physicist of that day, named Thomas Young who believed that energy existed as a wave form and was NOT particles at all.

E=MC2
Cosmos --> Universe --> Galaxy --> Earth --> Individuals --> Organ Systems --> Cells --> Molecules --> Atoms --> Subatomic Particles = Energy

The bottom line is, Einstein's discovery proved that ALL things broken down to their most basic form consist of the same stuff. What is this stuff? Pure Energy and that it is this One Energy which makes up ALL things. ALL THINGS!!

Without a basic understanding of Quantum Physics you might think that there are different forms of energy such as energy that powers your home, energy that makes you get out of bed in the morning and keeps you going throughout the day, energy that fuels your car, etc. Although they appear from a physical sense to be varying types of energy at the physical level, due to the varying structures and vibrational frequencies of the subatomic particles and the varying formations of sub-atomic particles which comprise them, when analyzed by Quantum Physicists and broken down into their purest form they too, at their core are all made up of this "One Energy."

Everything that exists whether nature, sound, colors, oxygen, the wind, thoughts, emotions, the chair your sitting in, your house, your car, your physical body, the stars, your dog, your ability to see, hear, smell, etc. etc., exists only as a result of this very same energy.

The along came Niels Bohr, who was the Nobel Prize winner in 1922 who through his work and study of subatomic structure added a whole new twist to Einsteins theory regarding energy existing as particles.

Unlike Einstein, Niels Bohr believed...or at least had a strong "hunch" that energy could be both waves OR particles.

In fact Einstein and Bohr debated over this quite often for years.

Based on work Bohr had done, he believed that matter could be separately analyzed as having several contradictory properties.

To put it another way, ANYTHING and EVERYTHING which exists in the entire cosmos, when broken down and analyzed into it's purest and most basic form utilizing sophisticated scientific tools and instruments, is merely a vibrating frequency of energy which joins together with energies of the same harmonious frequency to form what we "perceive" to be reality and as a result determines what we experience in the physical world.

With that being the case why haven't you become aware of it until now? If Quantum Physics has existed and these facts known for that long of a period why wouldn't you already know about it?

Well...Unless you have taken an advanced college course in quantum physics you couldn't know about it. Why? Simply because you have been inundated with many "partial truths" and in many cases totally false beliefs and understandings of how things "work" since you were a child.

In fact as mentioned above, most public education systems today in many parts of the world still teach the long since outdated Newtonian Physics theory in their schools.

Now think about the implications here for just a minute. If ALL things in existence at their core are comprised of this same vibrating mass of pure energy, regardless if it's waves or particles...and I do mean ALL things, both the seen as well as the unseen, INCLUDING YOU and ME, that means that what the most enlightened teachers in the history of the world have taught and which spiritual texts have shown for thousands of years, we "Really Are ONE!!"

To make it a little easier to grasp, eliminate the "perception" of everything you see as being solid and existing as a continuously vibrating mass of energy and you'll begin to comprehend that ALL things, including YOU, me, your neighbor, your doctor and everybody as well as EVERYTHING else is nothing more than a vibrating mass of pure energy that is intricately interconnected to everything else...EVERYTHING else.

This isn't MY findings. It's not something that I've concocted out of thin air, this is PROVEN and well documented science discovered by Nobel Prize laureates and the truth concerning it has been taught in spiritual circles and has been around for countless thousands of years.

Just as the mystics and masters have shared for thousands of years, that is how our world was created to operate. Regardless of what you may currently believe to be true, you ARE NOT the victim of some capricious set of external events, conditions and circumstances. You are quite literally the creator of your reality!!

You are the artist that paints the picture. You are the producer and director of your own movie. If you want to change the scene on the canvas you only need use a different brush. If you don't like the scenes that are being played out in your movie you only need change the script which is responsible for creating them. If you desire to change the events, conditions, and circumstances in your life you only need change the thoughts, beliefs and emotions that are responsible for bringing them into and making them your reality.

In a nutshell.....

Whatever you think about and believe to be true regardless if those beliefs are based on "real truth" or "perceived truth" are what determines how your life will unfold.

Quantum Physics has shown us that there exists no such thing as "untruth" only physical experiences in each area of our life which are formed based on our individual "perceptions" of truth.

Quantum physics tells us that it is the act of observing an object (events, conditions and circumstances) that causes it to be there and the outcome is based only on our choice and how we observe it. An object cannot and does not exist independently of its observer!

Who is this observer? YOU!!

If you believe at some level, whether consciously or subconsciously, that money is difficult to come by, the projected energy emitted and broadcast will harmonize with energy of a harmonious frequency in wave form, transmute into particles which attract additional particles that harmonize with it and your life will reflect that of money being difficult to come by.

By the same token if you believe that money flows to you effortlessly and maintain the conscious and subconscious beliefs regarding that, you will find that money becomes much more easy to acquire.

Same applies with all areas, health, weight, relationships, career, everything!

So can you see how you could transform your health and weight with an alteration of energy frequency?

Challenges: "Whatsoever ye desire when ye pray "believe" that ye receive and it shall be given to you." My challenge is not believing, my cynicism, skepticism and fear. When I do believe life flows with ease, joy and grace.

Triumphs: "To see things in the seed, that is genius" - Lau Tsu. Day 3 of this cleanse - I can literally feel, and smell hehe the toxins purging out of my body. It is refreshing to only have one type of food going into my body so it has time to rest and heal. I think my body is always on the go as I am always eating - it never really gets a break from digestion! I am discovering I have more energy without food in my stomach - as I am not using energy to digest it. My husband gave me a great tip in regards to auditioning, and you could apply it to anything, Andrew said 'Don't eat before an audition, you don't want the energy in your belly, you want to be quick, light and present'.

What I Ate Today:

Food fest 1: Water with maple syrup, lemon and cayene pepper! Day 3 of 7 for the Master Cleanse!

Exercise: A bike ride and some stretching in the sauna ;)

Day 229

Thoughts: Are you struggling? Are you going for what you want, but feeling like something is road-blocking the way? Are you finding yourself "not" doing some of the things you know you should be doing?

You may be a victim of sabotage - self-sabotage.

Here are 4 examples of when I self sabotage.

In my experience of life I am aware I self sabotage. There are also times that I am not aware I am self sabotaging. I am unconscious to it, I have ingrained it so deep into my being, since born on earth that self sabotage comes naturally. The unnatural becomes natural. This is the human condition.

1. I am present to it when I know I am focusing on what is not working, not right or missing in my life.

This only attracts more of the things I don’t want.

To pull my self out of this I write down "What's going right?" or "What IS working?" When I begin to notice all the things, no matter how small, that are working well, even acknowledging a friend and then I start to attract more of what is working!

What is working? The garden growing outside, The Earth Diet, the cleanse I am on, marriage, love, health, working in the film industry, the sun is shining :), my juicer, the beautiful apartment I live in, birds outside all day chirping, various projects I am working on, relationships, exercise, fitness, technologies I am surrounded with, standing on my head for 4 minutes, dancing, stretching, moving my body, my integrity.

2. I am present to self sabotage when I am stuck in fear, when I worry a lot about the future and what is going to happen or might happen.

Sometimes I may be thinking about my fears so much that I am are paralyzed and take no action because of fear of what might occur.

To pull myself out of this I focus on the present. I refresh myself with quantum physics and remember that this is all my creation, I can't control or predict the future or other people's behaviors. All I can do is control my own, right here, right now.

I ask myself "What is the worst thing that could happen?" Then, I let go and know that rarely do the scenarios I create in our heads occur - and what a relief that can be hehe. I fully accept the present moment for what it is.

3. I am present to self sabotage when I have a feeling of no value.

I forget all my accomplishments and lack pride in who I am, I become selfish and ungrateful and think I am useless and that I have failed (When I am not stuck in self sabotage I realize 'I' cannot fail, only my performance of something can fail, and failing is not good or bad, right or wrong). I obsess about the past or my lack of success, as I have forget what I have, and I get stuck in noticing how much I lack as a person. I often criticize myself, I make myself feel worse by negative thoughts, over eating or not doing something I had planned to do.

I pull myself out of this by choosing to notice what I do that is good and the things I can be proud of, no matter how small they may seem. I think of everything and everyone I can be grateful for. This floods my body with a different energy frequency, one of appreciation, love and gratitude instead of hate, sabotage and judgment. When I hear my mind chattering about what I haven't done right or well, I turn down the volume and turn up the volume to hear the voice that knows the TRUTH about who I am and how I am value to the world.

If you can relate to this too, acknowledge yourself for at least 5 things each and every day that you did well. Each day, compliment yourself on something you did that you feel good about. Notice your small successes and accept the compliments others give you.

Today I did these well:
1. Wrote this blog
2. Did research for my next film role
3. Woke up early
4. Uploaded new recipes to my website to share with people
5. Learned a monologue for a audition on Tuesday

4. I am present to self sabotage when I compare myself to others.

When I am stuck in sabotage I compare myself to others and then feel badly when compared to them. I compare myself to other people and how they are better than me, happier, richer, healthier, more successful. I realize comparison doesn't motivate me to do more or be better, instead it makes me feel like I'll never be good enough and I am not right now.

To pull myself out of it I remind my self that I am whole, perfect and complete at every moment - I have nowhere to go and nothing to be and nothing to gain before I can be complete.

If you can relate to this type of sabotage, write out the 5 qualities you like best about yourself. Then write out what you value most in your life. When you go to a place of comparison, notice how similar you are with the other person vs. what is different. Begin to create a list of adjectives that describe you - at least 25 positive words about your greatness (use a thesaurus if you need). Whenever you notice yourself in a comparison mode, think of some of the adjectives that describe YOU.

You are not bragging or boasting about yourself when you write these things, you are acknowledging yourself. When you can truly acknowledge, love and nurture yourself, then only can you for others. If you can see your greatness, you will then recognize it in others.

My 5 qualities
1. Courageous
2. Loving
3. Lovable
4. Unstoppable
5. Authentic

What I value in life most is presence - that is available to me at all times. If I am present then I have everything, love, career, health, wealth, relationships, adventure, joy.

25 adjectives that describe me are: loving, lovable, passionate, hard working, light, peaceful, playful, energetic, open, intense, awake, grateful, deep, vivid, alive, connected, honest, extraordinary, beautiful, calm, powerful, healthy, bold, audacious, adventurous, gentle, humble and powerful.

As I write all this I realize I can be all this and opposite. I am loving and hateful, I am lovable and judgmental, I am passionate and lazy, I am hard working and stagnant, I am light and darkness, I am peaceful and excessive, I am open and closed, I am awake and asleep, I am ungrateful and grateful, I am deep and shallow, I am vivid and dead, alive and unconscious, connected and disconnected, honest and a liar, extraordinary and ordinary, beautiful and hideous, calm and flustered, powerful and bitter, healthy and unhealthy, bold and weak, audacious and timid, adventurous and reckless, gentle and hazardous, humble and cynical, powerful and afraid .

Knowing I can be all of these, I get to choose at each moment what I am. What do I choose now? I tend to vibrate more towards the feeling of light, joy, peace, grace and ease, and life does flow like this when I am in a state of presence and remembering who I am. Even after writing those adjective words about myself, there is an energy shift in my body - I am experiencing a lightness and sense of everything is always ok.

Part 5,6 and 7 of Self-Sabotage will be in tomorrows blog!

Visit: www.theearthdiet.org - I released 14 new recipes today including 100% Strawberry Nut Pie! Delicious, healthy, creamy and sweet!

Challenges: Self-sabotage! When I am stuck in sabotage, I am disconnected from my self, life, love, from all things!

Triumphs: I really am free. I always have the opportunity to choose.

What I Ate Today:

Food fest 1: Day 4 out of 7 on the master cleanse - water, cayene pepper, the juice of lemon and maple syrup. The attachments I have to things are becoming so clear. I am realizing that when I do eat - I more often than not eat just for the sake of eating, or because I think I should, or because it's healthy I should just eat it. I am seeing that I eat far too much from what my body requires for survival and that I am a consuming machine! I am surprisingly not hungry, and I am aware of my mind chit chattering, bored and wanting to eat. Eating out of boredom and not because it needs to.

Exercise: A nice chill bike ride to the beach with my husband to watch the sun set and be in a state of love :) I stretched my body out and in, in so many ways, it's my favourite stretchy type: the type that has no rules or pre organized stretching resume. You choose one part of your body to stretch in any which way and then feel what part of your body would next be most enjoyable ( in-joy-able) to stretch mmm it's a divine dessert for the body :) Well anything is like dessert to me on the cleanse! Truly, brushing my teeth, a jab of spiceness from the cayene pepper, clinkys of lemon parts falling into my mix! Truly enjoying the simplness. ;)

136 days to go!!!

Day 230

Thoughts: Following yesterday's blog on Self-Sabotage -

In my experience of life I am aware I self sabotage. There are also times that I am not aware I am self sabotaging. I am unconscious to it, I have ingrained it so deep into my being, since born on earth that self sabotage comes naturally. The unnatural becomes natural. This is the human condition.

Here are examples 5, 6 and 7 (1,2,3,4 in yesterdays blog!)

5. I am present to self-sabotage when I am getting what I want and then lose it.

When I am stuck in sabotage I believe that I don't deserve to have what I want. And when I get what I want, I often lose it or mess it up. The true story underneath that I think I'm not good enough to have it.

I pull myself out of this by listing all the things I have accomplished that faded away. I simply notice these things, but don’t place any judgment on the fact they disappeared. How did they bring me satisfaction? How did they make me feel? What is the limiting belief that I have that tells me inside why I can't have what I want?

By writing these things down you may feel awkward or unnatural to you as it is rare that human beings acknowledge themselves. When was the last time you told you how much you loved you?! Or thought nice thoughts about yourself? As I said yesterday you are not bragging or boasting about yourself when you write these things, you are acknowledging yourself. When you can truly acknowledge, love and nurture yourself, then only can you for others. If you can see your greatness, you will then recognize it in others.

When I write them down, it automatically creates a shift in energy in my body. I experience gratitude, love and respect for my self. Out of gratitude, love and respect I can create more of what I want.

Be quiet, be still and listen to it - listen to it with your whole body, not just your mind.

6. I am present to self-sabotage when I chase away relationships.

When I am stuck in sabotage I always feel something is missing in my relationships or find faults with the other person. In this moment that I do this I am afraid of intimacy. Underneath this is a fear of abandonment and exposure that causes me to distance yourself from others. In this mind frame I think if someone gets to close they will find out that I am 'not good enough'. Something that I created in myself since a young child.

I pull myself out of this by creating a list of the qualities I value in a relationship and the qualities I want to attract in my relationships. I express what I want and don't want to the other person and allow them to express the same to me. This allows us to create a authentic relationship from the beginning - the foundation. I create time to acknowledge the other person on a regular basis. I notice when I feel afraid and I don't try to push the feelings away. I know that the feelings are there and that is fine. Then, in that moment, I focus on what feels good about the relationship.

7. I am present of self=sabotage when I convince myself that I have no purpose.

Do you feel you have no purpose in life? We all have some purpose for being on the planet and now is the perfect time to notice yours.

To pull myself out of being a victim to this I write down all the things that are important to me – the thing I want to create in my life. Then I write out what I want to contribute to the world. From my writing, I create a statement of purpose for myself that I can read each and every day.

If you can relate to this form of sabotage, write it out for yourself too and then stop worrying about not knowing your purpose and start creating what you desire now. It doesn’t matter what you want in the future. So start creating something you want in your life NOW. This action will ultimately put you in alignment and bring you closer to your overall purpose.

We can all be conscious creators of our own life experience - if we choose.

Challenges: Recieving with simplicity everything that happens to me.

Triumphs: This cleanse is something else. Each day I am having new experiences - ones I've never done before - well of course since I have never actually done this cleanse before. Just 3 minutes ago when I was typing this blog Andrew opened the cupboard, I instantly became hungry, I heard the sound and had previously linked the two together - that sound and food. Funny discovering all these little attachment I have to things!

What I Ate Today:

Food fest 1: Day 5 out of 7 on the master cleanse! That is water with maple syrup, cayene pepper and the juice of lemon.

Exercise: Today I was trained by Ryan from Big Al's gym!!! I started to write about my experience there and what I got present to - it is amazing how a group of people working together to get people healthy and strong can completely alter our state of being. It's like you walk into this gym and you automatically jump into an active nurturing, loving and energetic place! So I am writing that in tomorrows blog!!!

135 days to go!!!
