Day 221

Thoughts: We have nothing to do.

A beautiful exchange between Jonathan Stone, a great friend of mine.

"Something I just figured out is that our act of wanting more in life and growing and achieving things is the act that keeps us coming back to this existence. In Buddhism they teach that once you come to a point in your life of letting go of everything and being content in the here and now and not needing to strive for anything then you have reached enlightenment and no need to come back. That's why the Buddhist try to maintain this lifestyle is because they are at true peace in the present moment and have no need for anything. They have learned to quiet there ego of pursuit for physical desires.

So the energy that these certain people who follow this belief attract to them in the long run is the chance of not coming back... How interesting is that???

By me wanting more in my life, I'm calling out to the universe for more wanting and that my ego wants more in life, so when I pass on I will still want more... But if I flow the principles of not wanting anything more and just truly being in the present moment, this will quiet down the ego to the point of not wanting anything anymore and as in the Buddhist traditions I would reach enlightenment.

I believe this has become one of the main causes of my restlessness recently... Do I care about the pursuit of life which feeds my ego into wanting more in life or do I pursue a life free from pursuit of physical and materialism and just truly be in the present moment, ONE.

I am still confused with which path to take, and most probably my own ego of wanting to know what to do is is the main culprit."

I wrote back,

"Hey beautiful being named Jonathan, I have been pondering the same lately. I have been watching my ego (when I am not consumed by it) and learning the addiction to pain and suffering it has. My ego is constantly wanting more, trying to achieve something, reach a particular place, searching for things and outside circumstances to make the inside brighter, happier, peaceful. Of course a vicious circle illusion!

Being on earth is like a jail cell for our being, the toughest planet - our infinite light, our beingness trapped inside a body and ego addicted to pain and suffering. Like you said and the Buddhist belief, I believe we come here to play in the toughest planet and reach enlightenment when we realize we have an attachment to everything, our bodies, loved ones, things. When we die, and that we never really die only our bodies do, we are left with our consciousness. And if one is conscious they go to that place, if one is unconscious they go to that place - a hell. I still have a lot of work to do. I am my own worst enemy more than I love my self unconditionally and forgiving myself for choosing to come to earth!

I will always remember Thor, a friend of mine saying "Close your eyes, what you can see is yours" -nothing :) "

Jonathan replied "It is a interesting/vicious circle we live in lol. If I continue living life and wanting more, I will always invite myself to come back and still want more but on the positive side the universe will continue to expand and grow as we continue to create. But if I live a life free of ego, you get to a point of letting go these bonds that keep bringing us back here and reach pure enlightenment, but the only thing you will be sharing with the universe is peace and harmony. A very tough dilemma...lol

I am honored for you to share these interesting conversations that we have in your blogs. We are all connected and all expressing what the universal consciousness is feeling. I really enjoy your blogs and thank you for sharing them with everyone.

Next time your walking down a crowded street or passage way filled with people walking your way, try and listen and catch one word or sentence from each person that walks past you then add all the words together. You will be surprised what conversation you will be listening too. I believe since we are all connected as a universal consciousness, there is something that is being said by the whole... Just some food for thought:))) "

Ultimately there is nothing for us to do.

Day 214

Thoughts: The Power Of Now.

You are here to enable the divine purpose of the universe to unfold. That is how important you are! Says the author of The Power of Now Eckhart Tolle. Words from his source:

The sooner you realize that your outer purpose cannot give you lasting fulfillment, the better.

I wonder what my next thought will be. Then become very alert and wait for the next thought.

Waiting- it is not a waiting in which your attention is focused on some point in the future and the present is perceived as an undesirable obstacle that prevents us from having what you want. There is a qualitatively different kind of waiting, one that requires your total alertness. Something could happen at any moment, and if you are not absolutely awake, absolutely still, you will miss it. In that state, all your attention is in the now. There is none left for daydreaming, thinking, remembering, anticipating. There is no tension, no fear, just alert presence. You are more fully yourself than you ever were before, or rather it is only now that you are truly yourself.

Beauty arises in the stillness of your presence. To become aware of such things, the mind needs to be still. You have to put down for a moment your personal baggage of problems, your past and future, as well as your knowledge; otherwise you will see but not see, hear but not hear. Your total presence is required.

Many people are so imprisoned in their minds that the beauty of nature does not really exist for them.

There is nothing that you need to understand before you can become present.

CREATING GAP MIND
This can start with a very simple thing, such as taking one conscious breath or looking, in a state of intense alertness, at a flower, so that there is no mental commentary running at the same time. There are many ways to create a gap in the incessant stream of thought. Meditation.

SURRENDER
The letting go of mental emotional resistance to what is-also becomes a portal into the unmanisfested. The reason for this is simple; inner resistance cuts you off from other people, from yourself, from the world around you. It strengthens the feeling of separateness on which the ego depends for its survival. Its up to you to open a portal in your life that gives you conscious access to the unmanifested. Get in touch with the energy field n your body, be intensely present, disidentify from your mind, surrender to what is, these are the portal you can use, but you only need to use one.

SILENCE
Do you hear that dog barking in the distance? Of that car passing by? Listen carefully. Can you feel the presence of the unmanifested in that? You cant? Look for it in the silence out of which the sounds come and into which they return. Pay more attention to the silence than to the sounds. Paying attention to the outer silence creates inner silence; the mind becomes still. A portal is opening up.
Every sound is born out of silence, dies back into silence, and during its life span is surrounded by silence. Silence enables the sound to be. This is why it has been said that nothing in this world is so like God as silence. All you have ot do its pay attention to it. Even during a conversation, become conscious of the gaps between words, the brief silent intervals between sentences. As you do that, the dimension of stillness grows within you. BE STILL.

SPACE
Just as no sound can exist without silence, nothing can exist without no-thing, without the empty space that enables it to be. Every physical object or body ha come out of nothing, is surrounded by nothing, and will eventually return to nothing. Inside every physical body there is far more ‘nothing’ than ‘something’. Space is just as easy to miss as silence. Everybody pays attention to the things in space, but who pays attention to space itself? So what happens if you withdraw attention from the objects in space and become aware of space itself? What is the essence of this room? The furniture, the pictures, and so on are in the room, but they are not the room. The floor, walls and ceiling define the boundary of the room, but they are not the room either. So what is the essence of the room? Space of course, empty space. There would be no ‘room’ without it. Since space is ‘nothing’ we can say that what is NOT there is more important that what is there. So become aware of the space around you. Don’t think about it. Feel it, as it were. Pay attention to the ‘nothing’. If you withdraw attention from things, -objects in space- you automatically withdraw your attention from your mind objects as well. In other words you cannot think and be aware of space, or silence.

We are not trying to understand it. There is nothing to understand.
Nothing real can be threatened. Nothing unreal exists.

THE TRUE NATURE OF SPACE AND TIME
Now consider this: if there were nothing but silence, it wouldn’t exist for you, you wouldn’t know what it is. Only when sound appears does silence come into being. Similarly if there were only space without any objects in space, it would exist for you. Nothing could BE without space, yet space is nothing.

Challenges: My chattering mind.

Triumphs: Presence that is available to me at every moment, every time, always there. The door is always open.

Day 215

Thoughts: Die to the past every moment. You don't need it. For it no longer exists. The moment in which you read that sentence, it now no longer exists. Only if you hold onto it in your mind. Thinking has become a disease - one I am riddled with.

I am my own worst enemy. You are your own worst enemy.

Only you can say you can or cannot. If someone else says you can or cannot, it doesn't mean you can or cannot.

Where do you go in your mind? When you are alone what do you think about your self? What is your relationship with yourself? That's where you go when you die. Is it heaven or hell? Is it heaven or hell in your thoughts. If you close your eyes and listen to the voice in your head, your mind, consciousness or unconsciousness you will discover you. Perhaps you cannot really differentiate what is you talking and what is that little voice. If you just thought 'I don't have a little voice' that was the little voice. We all have one - every human being.

Whatever your thoughts are shows you exactly what you will still be thinking when you die in human form. This is because you never really die.

Wanting to die seems like it might be a part of being alive. –Nick Hornby, A Long Way Down

Death is not the end, not a tragedy.

There is in every one of us an unending see-saw between the will to live and the will to die. –Rebecca West, The Strange Necessity

I would never kill myself intentionally. I couldn’t do that to my family, my friends … But to have fate step in and give me a shove, that’s a different matter. Then I have the exit, without the guilt. I am ashamed of myself for thinking like this. But more than anything, I am frightened that it makes me feel so much better to think about it. Sometimes it eases the terror, the sense that I am condemned eternally to this hell. –Martha Manning, Undercurrents: A Life Beneath the Surface

Death is like walking through another door. It does seem crazy to fear death although I have feared it for the majority of my life, and still do - for I am still here, as a human on earth. I can hear death coming from outside my hotel room, the dark misty air conditioning, and I can hear it outside my hotel balcony from the screeching trucks, and the turns of wheels, way down in the valley below us.

There is no way to block it out - just a choice to accept or resist it.

We are capable of infinite light, and yet we live in the pagmire of death. We live in shit town, the trailer park of our mind. This life is just one part of our minds. We can use all parts - if we believe that. When we go to sleep we got to another part. We have been born into this world and taught at a universal level how not to use our mind fully, our self expression is suppressed.

To die, to sleep! To sleep, perchance to dream … –William Shakespeare, Hamlet

We live in boxes. Houses with boxes - mirrors and square paintings and photo frames, television boxes, a fridge box, microwave box, square cupboards, cereal boxes, look around your place and see how square everything is.

Pain or not, I would most likely walk around in a suicidal reverie the rest of my life, never actually doing anything about it. Was there a psychological term for that? Was there a disease that involved an intense desire to die, but no will to go through with it? Couldn’t talk and thoughts of suicide be considered a whole malady of their own, a special subcategory of depression in which the loss of a will to live has not quite been displaced by a determination to die? –Elizabeth Wurtzel, Prozac Nation

But we are all insane, anyway ... The suicides seem to be the only sane people. –Mark Twain, Notebook

I do see that there is an argument against suicide: the grief of the worshipers left behind, the awful famine in their hearts, these are too costly terms for the release. –Mark Twain, in a letter to WD Howells, July 13, 1889

I guess I realize that I don’t want to die. I don’t want to live either, but—there really isn’t anything in-between. Depression is about as close as you get to somewhere between dead and alive, and it’s the worst. But since the tendency toward inertia means that it’s easier for me to stay alive than die, I guess that’s how it’s going to be, so I guess I should try to be happy. –'Ditto'

And what I owned up to was this: I had wanted to kill myself, not because I hated living, but because I loved it. And the truth of the matter is, I think, that a lot of people who think about killing themselves feel the same way … They love life, but it’s all fucked up for them … -'Dito'

And so I leave this world, where the heart must either break or turn to lead. –Nicolas-Sebastien Chamfort’s suicide note

The future is just old age and illness and pain ... I must have peace. –James Whale’s suicide note

To my friends: My work is done. Why wait? –George Eastman’s suicide note

Be your own best friend. And choose to live, life will be easier I promise! Live fully or die fully.

Once a man decides to take his own life he enters a shut-off, impregnable but wholly convincing world where every detail fits and each incident reinforces his decision.

I think many people kill themselves simply to stop the debate about whether they will or they won’t.

It is silliness to live when to live is torment. –William Shakespeare, Othello

Are you alive or dead? Do you choose life or death?

Challenges: My challenge is being my own best friend - and loving my self unconditionally. I am my own worst enemy.

Triumphs: Reminding me to treat myself how I would treat someone that I love!

Day 217

Thoughts: The law of attraction. Words from The Secret...

We can have whatever it is that we choose. I don't care how big it is.

We are all working with One Law. It's attraction. Everything that's coming into your life you are attracting into your life. And its attracted to you by virtue of the images your holding in your mind. It's what your thinking. Whatever is going on in your mind you are attracting to you.

The law responds to your thoughts no matter what they might be.

The simplest way for me to look at the law of attraction is if I think of myself as a magnet, and I know that a magnet will attract to it. I am the most powerful magnet in the universe. The law of attraction says like attracts like, so as you think a thought, you are also attracting like thoughts to you.

You become what you think about most, but you also attract what you think about most. So if you become what you think about most, think about wealth, health, prosperity and happiness, if that is the experience of life that you want.

My life right now is a reflection of my past thoughts. This includes all the great things...and all the not so good things. It is easy to see what my dominant thoughts have been on every subject of my life, because this is what I have experienced. Until now! Now i know the secret, and with this knowledge I can change everything.

If I see it in my mind, I'm going to hold it in my hand.

If I think about what I want in my mind, and make that my dominant thought, I will bring it into my life.

My thoughts become things. Say this over and over in your mind. My thoughts become things.

If you want to change anything in your life, change the channel and change the frequency by changing your thoughts.

I have to think of myself living in abundance and then I will attract it. So why isn't everyone living the life of their dreams? Here's the problem. Most people are thinking about what they don't want, and they're wondering why it shows up over and over again. The only reason why people do not have what they want is because they are thinking more about what they don't want. Listen to your thoughts. The law is absolute and there are no mistakes.

An epidemic worse than any plague that humankind has ever seen has been raging for centuries. It is the 'don't want' epidemic. People keep this epidemic alive when they predominantly think, speak , act and focus on what they 'don't want'. But this is the generation that will change history because we are receiving the knowledge that can free us of this epidemic! It begins with you and you can become a pioneer of this new thought movement by simply thinking and speaking about what you want.

So basically you can trick your mind, for example I am whole perfect and complete, I have optimum health, I live in abundance, I have perfect skin, I have a perfect body, I am perfect in every way, I have perfect health, I am so happy, I am wealthy, I am so grateful. Well this is true because the Secret says that it is already yours, its out there, you just have to be in alignment with the universe and it will come to you.

The law of attraction is really obedient. When you think of the things that you want, and focus on them with all of your intention, the the law of attraction will give you exactly what you want, every time. When you focus on the things that you don't want 'I don't want to be late, I don't want to be late' the law of attraction doesn't hear that you don't want it. The law of attraction is not biased to wants or don't wants. When you focus on something, no matter what it happens to be, you really are calling that into existence. The law of attraction doesn't compute 'don't' or' not' or 'no', or any other words of negation.

As you speak words of negation, this is what the law of attraction is receiving.

'I don't want to spill something on this outfit'
I want to spill something on this outfit or i want to spill more things

'I don't want a bad hair cut'
I want bad hair cuts

'I don't want that person to be rude to me'
I want that person and more people to be rude to me

'I don't want to catch the flu'
I want to catch the flu and more things

'I don't want to argue'
I want to argue

'I don't want more debt'
I want more debt and more things to make me even more in debt

'I don't want to worry'
I want to worry and I want more things to come into my existence to make me worry

'I don't want to be poor'
I want to be poor

'I don't want to be unsuccessful'
I want to be unsuccessful

'I don't want to put on weight'
I want to put on weight

The law of attraction is giving you what you think about- period!

Challenges: Forgetting the law of attraction

Day 218

Thoughts: Have your mind, instead of it having you.

I' am able to THINK my life into existence. I can map out my whole life and how I want it to go.

Make your last thoughts before going to sleep good thoughts because the law of attraction is still operating on your last thoughts as you fall asleep.

What I am thinking now is creating my future life. I create my life with my thoughts. Because we are always thinking, we are always creating. What you think about the most or focus on the most is what will appear as your life.

My life is in my hands. No matter where I am, or what has happened in my life, I can begin to consciously choose my thoughts and change my life. The universe must deliver the pictures of the new frequency, no matter how impossible the situation may seem.

You can see the law of attraction everywhere. You draw everything to yourself. The people, the job, the circumstances, the health, the wealth, the debt, the joy, the car I drive and the community I am in, the friends I surround my self with etc. And I've drawn them all to me, like a magnet. What I think about I bring about. My whole life is a manifestation of the thoughts that go on in my head.

We should be grateful we have to free will to choose our thoughts. We have the power to internationally think and create our entire life with our minds. The mind is a powerful tool - in whatever way it is used.

It really does take many negative thoughts and persistent negative thinking to bring something negative into your life. However if you persist in thinking negative thoughts over a period of time, they will appear in your life. If I worry about having negative thoughts, I will attract more negative thoughts. Choose right now that you are only going to think good thoughts - if that is the kind of life experience you want. At the same time proclaim to the universe that all your good thoughts are powerful and that any negative thoughts are very very weak.

Say it often and meditate on it 'I am the master of my thoughts'.

Now you start to have a mind, instead of it having you.

I am like a human transmission tower, transmitting a frequency with my thoughts. If I want to change anything in my life, I simply change the frequency by changing my thoughts. If you are currently unhappy, unsatisfied, unfulfilled with the channel you are on, choose to change the channel.

My current thoughts are creating my future life. What I think about most and focus on the most will appear as my life.

MY THOUGHTS BECOME THINGS!

THE SECRET MADE SIMPLE

If I think only good thoughts, only good things can come into my life because that's the way I think. Nothing can come into my experience unless I summon it through persistent thoughts.

The emotions are this incredibly gift that let me know what I'm thinking. My feelings are my greatest tool to help create my life. My thoughts are the primary cause of everything. I want to become aware of what I'm feeling, and get in tune with how I'm feeling, because its the fastest way for me to know what I'm thinking.

Stop and ask yourself during the day 'how am I feeling'? It is impossible to feel bad and have good thoughts. If I am feeling bad it is because I'm thinking thoughts that are making me feel bad.

When I am feeling bad, I am on the frequency of drawing more bad things. When you celebrate the good feeling you'll draw to you more good feelings and things that make you feel good.

I can have whatever I want in life, no limits. But there is a catch : You have to feel good!

As you feel bad and don't make any effort to change your thoughts and feel better you are in fact saying 'bring me more circumstances that will make me feel bad. Bring it on!'

If I'm feeling good than I'm creating a future that's on track with my desires. If I'm feeling bad I'm creating a future that's off track with my desires.

Seize the moments where you feel good and milk them! The good you will feel will attract more things good to make me feel awesome!

My feelings are my frequency feedback mechanism. When I am feeling good feelings, it is communication back from the universe saying 'you are thinking good thoughts'. Likewise when you are feeling bad you are receiving communication back from the universe saying 'you are thinking bad thoughts'. So when I'm feeling bad, its not a 'bad' thing, it is communication from the universe, and it is saying 'warning! Change thinking now. Negative frequency recording. Change frequency. Counting down to manifestation. Warning!'

The next time you are feeling bad or feeling any negative emotion, listen to the signal you are receiving from the universe. In that moment you are blocking your own good from coming to you because you on a negative frequency. Change your thoughts and think about something good and when the good feelings start to come you will know it was because you shifted yourself on a new frequency, and the Universe has confirmed it with better feelings.

Challenges: Getting stuck on a negative frequency.

Triumphs: Having my mind - instead of it having me. And it takes discipline, work, practice and awareness.

What I Ate Today:

Food fest 1: Blackberries.

Food fest 2: Green grapes.

Food fest 3: A avocado with walnuts. Cherries.

Food fest 4: A avocado.

Food fest 5: A grapefruit and orange juice mmm mmm mmm!

Day 219

Thoughts: Wisdom - it will light your darkest hour

In the dictionary wisdom means a good sense of judgment, accumulated knowledge. Wisdom however is much more than an explanation in a dictionary.

One of his students asked Buddha,
"Are you the messiah?"
"No", answered Buddha.
"Then are you a healer?"
"No", Buddha replied.
"Then are you a teacher?" the student persisted.
"No, I am not a teacher."
"Then what are you?" asked the student, exasperated.
"I am awake", Buddha replied.

I am not perfect, and I never will be, yet I am perfect, whole and complete. Am I trying to reach this unattainable place of perfection? For many years I was waiting for my 'real' life to begin, living in a someday world. I would wait to start things tomorrow. I still slip in and out of the illusion.

I live by 'I can be do or have anything, and so can everyone, so long as you believe it.' We are all running the treadmill, working, trying to find love when it is already inside of us, make more money, get 'better', get richer, famous, popular, ahead.

My sole purpose is to experience the fullest glory. I experience that when I am present. The totality of my experience is not available to me if I am not here now in this moment fully.

We are all here to re-member who we are. And we are that of peace and love and joy. But we have to first forget who we are to remember who we are. And then create who we are. There are many many things I do not know that I do not know about myself. It's so easy to get caught up in the world and to seek approval from outsiders, but then I remind myself to come back inside, and that the outside world doesn't really exist, it only exists as I create it so.

Once you've mastered the inside you have mastered the outside.

But human beings being human want problems and drama, humans love it, for it gives us purpose to go on from day to day to want to constantly succeed and improve and grow and create more drama. If we didn't have problems we would all be in pure paradise with no agenda and we'd be saying I want to experience other feelings like fear and anger and sadness! Give me more emotions! Hence we have opposites joy and fear.

How indulged are you into drama?

The more immersed you are, the more you live in pain and suffering.

Day 220

Thoughts: Everything that exists has Being, has God-essence, has some degree of consciousness. Everything is alive. The sun, the earth, plants, animals, humans.

Words from The Power Of Now by Eckhart Tolle

Look at the millions of life forms on this planet alone. In the sea, on land, in the air- and then each life form is replicated millions of times. To what end? Is someone or something playing a game, a game with form? The ancient Indians saw the world as a kind of divine game that God is playing. The individual life forms are obviously not very important in this game. In the sea most life forms don’t survive for more than a few minutes after being born. The human form turns to dust pretty quickly too, and when it is gone it is as if it had never been.

Becoming present and being the watcher of the mind. The event is called – the end of the world.

To listen to the silence, wherever you are, is an easy and direct way of becoming present. Even if there is noise, there is always some silence underneath and in between sounds. Listening to the silence immediately creates stillness inside.

Direct you attention into the body. Feel it from within. Is it alive? Is there life in your hands, arms, legs and feet, in your abdomen, your chest? Can you feel the subtle energy field that pervades the entire body and gives vibrant life to every organ and every cell? Can you feel it simultaneously in all parts of the body as a single field of energy? Keep focusing on the feeling of your inner body for a few moments. Do not start to think about it. Feel it. The more attention you give it, the clearer and stronger this feeling will become. It will feel as if every cell is becoming more alive, and if you have a strong visual sense, you may get an image of your body becoming luminous. If you cannot feel very much at this stage, pay attention to whatever you CAN feel. Your body is coming alive. Never loose touch with it.

Please examine where your attention is at this moment. You are listening to me, or you are reading these words in a book. There may be things happening around you, busy street, people, noise. See if you can be in touch with your inner body at the same time. Keep some of your attention within. It is almost as if you are listening or reading with your whole body. Let this be your practice in weeks to come.

Do not give all your attention away to the mind and the external world. By all means focus on what you are doing, but feel the inner body at the same time whenever possible. Then observe how this changes your state of consciousness and the quality of what you are doing.

Whenever you are waiting wherever it may be, use that time to feel the inner body.

Attention is the key to transformation and full attention also implies acceptance.

Emotions-
In a fully functional organism, an emotion has a very short life span. It is like a momentary ripple or wave on the surface of your being. When you are not in your body, however, an emotion can survive inside you for days or weeks, or join with other emotions of a similar frequency that have merged and become the pain-body, a parasite that can live inside you for years, feed on your energy, lead to physical illness, and make your life miserable. So place your attention on feeling the emotion, and check whether your mind is holding on to a grievance pattern such as blame, self pity, or resentment that is feeding the emotion. This is the minds refusal to accept uncertainty, to accept that the future is ultimately beyond its control. Forgiveness is to offer no resistance to life- to allow life to live through you.

There is a simple but powerful self healing meditation that you can do whenever you feel the need to boost your immune system. When you are unoccupied for a few minutes, and especially last thing at night before falling asleep and first thing in the morning before getting up, ‘flood’ your body with consciousness, Close your eyes. Lie flat on your back. Choose different parts of your body to focus your attention on briefly: hands, feet, arms, legs, abdomen, chest, head, and so on. Feel the life energy inside those parts as intensely as you can. Stay with each part for fifteen seconds or so. The let your attention run through the body like a wave a few times, from feet to head and back again. After that feel the inner body in its totality, as a single field of energy. Hold that feeling for a few minutes. Be intensely present during that time, present in every cell in your body. Don’t be concerned if the mind occasionally succeeds in drawing your attention out of the body and you lose yourself in some thought. As soon as you notice that this has happened, just return your attention to the inner body.

If you find it easy to visualize, close your eyes and see yourself surrounded by light or immersed in a luminous substance, a sea of consciousness. Then breathe in that light. Feel that luminous substance filling up your body and making it luminous also.

CREATIVE USE OF MIND whenever an answer, a solution, or a creative idea is needed, stop thinking for a moment by focusing attention on your energy field. Become aware of stillness. When you resume thinking it will be fresh and creative. We could say; don’t just think with your head, think with your whole body. Ask the universe for answers.

LISTENING – when listening to another person don’t just listen with your mind; listen with your whole body. Feel the energy field of your inner body as you listen. That takes attention away from thinking and creates a still space that enables you to truly listen without the mind interfering. You are giving the other person space, space to be. It is the most precious gift you can give.

Don’t think about it, feel it.

MEDITATION- ten to fifteen minutes. Make sure there are no distractions. Sit on a chair, spine erect. Make sure body is relaxed, Close you eyes. Take a few deep breaths. Feel yourself breathing into the lower abdominal. Observe how it expands and contracts slightly with each in and out breathe. Then become aware of the entire energy field of the body. Don’t think it, feel it.

DO- when you can feel the inner body as a single field of energy, let go, if possible, of any visual image and focus exclusively on the feeling. If you can, also drop any mental image you may still have of the physical body. All that is left then is an all-encompassing sense of presence or ‘being ness’ and the inner body is felt to be without a boundary. Then take you attention even more deeply into that feeling. Become one with it. Merge with the energy fields, so that there is no longer a perceived duality of the observer and the observed, of you and your body. The distinction between inner and outer also dissolves now, so there is no inner body anymore. By going deeply into the body, you have transcending (risen above, gone above) the body. Stay in this realm of pure Being for as long as it feels comfortable; then become aware again of the physical body, your breathing and physical senses, and open your eyes. Look at your surrounding for a few minutes in a meditative way-that is without labeling them mentally- and continue to feel the inner body as you do so.

Spiritual practice, now let your spiritual practice be this: as you go about your life, don’t give 100 percent of your attention to the external world and to your mind. Keep some within. Feel the inner body even when engaged in everyday activities, especially when engaged in relationships, or when you are relating with nature. Feel the stillness deep inside out. Keep the portal open, it is quite possible to be conscious of the un-manifested throughout your life. You feel it as a deep sense of peace somewhere in the background, a stillness that never leaves you, no matter what happens out here. You become a bridge between the un-manifested and the manifested, between god and the world. This is the state of connectedness with the source that we call enlightenment.

Challenges: Egos are drawn to bigger egos. Darkness cannot recognize light. Only light can recognize light.

Triumphs: When I am present life is blissful and joyous. Life flows with ease and grace :) "Do not dwell in the past, do not dream of the future, concentrate the mind on the present moment." - Buddha
